How We Started
Why We Built Local Locksmith Company in Carbondale
Living in the Roaring Fork Valley, we kept noticing the same thing. When someone locked their keys in the car or lost the only key to a house, there were very few locksmiths based nearby to call. Help often had to come from a long way off, and people waited.
We decided to change that. Together, as a husband and wife locksmith team, we built Local Locksmith Company, LLC from the ground up in Carbondale. Today we work on cars, homes and businesses, and we install security cameras and lighting too.
If there is one thing to know about Local Locksmith Company, it is this: the business exists because the valley needed a locksmith of its own. We wanted to be the ones who answer that call.

Being a family owned locksmith in the Roaring Fork Valley means our name and our reputation travel with us to every job. The company is owned and run by a husband and wife who live in the Roaring Fork Valley. We started it from the ground up after seeing how few locksmiths were based in the area. When you call, you reach the owners directly rather than a dispatch service, and the people you speak with are the same people who come out to do the work.
We are based in Carbondale, Colorado, and work throughout the Roaring Fork Valley and roughly 60 miles beyond it. That includes Glenwood Springs, the towns along I-70 west to Battlement Mesa, and Gypsum and Eagle to the east. We are a mobile service, so we come to your vehicle, home or business rather than asking you to visit a shop.
Car keys make up most of our work. We cut, program and replace keys, including transponder keys, remotes, flip keys and keys for European makes. Many local mechanics and auto shops refer their customers to us. We also handle home and business lockouts, rekeying, lock repair, master key systems, security cameras, spotlights and security consultations.
We saw a real need. The Roaring Fork Valley had very few locksmiths of its own, and people often waited a long time for someone to drive in. Starting a local company meant our neighbors could reach a locksmith who knows the area, answers the phone at any hour and treats every customer the way we would want to be treated.
